Sr. High Camp Tracks

Along with our traditional intense camp we are offering some different options to Sr. High camp this year. For all of you who loved Camp X, this is definately for you. As you know Camp X will not be during the week of Jr. High camp. We are now offering our Camp X Tracks during the week of Sr. High Camp! This will be a great option for those who are interested. In the camp registratin process you will have the option of chosing one of the three tracks (traditional, discipleship, & worship). Please note, once you register for a track you will be unable to transfer over to a different track on-site. If you are looking for the Sr. High camp that many of you are used to then please select the traditional track option. Here is some more information about the new tracks.

Worship Track

--Worship Track is back for our second year, and we can't wait to see some familiar faces from Camp X as well as welcome some brand new students to the crew! If you are interested in or currently involved in leading worship, playing and/or singing in a worship band, or just maybe dreaming one day of being a worship pastor, then the worship track is FOR YOU! We will have instrumental training (electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, keys, drums), vocal training, musical theory/songwriting training, and spiritual and practical leadership training to take you as a musician and a leader to the next level! When you leave worship track, you will be able to go back to your youth group ready to amp up the worship team or maybe even start one from scratch!! What an awesome gift to give to your youth pastor and church family-- a lead worshipper on FIRE!! Don't miss Senior High Camp Worship Track 2010!

Discipleship Track

--In three words I would have to say that the discipleship track is "An Intense Journey". This year, discipleship will be taking a journey from the altar (salvation) to leaving high school. One of the most alarming statistics that every youth worker must face is the high percentage of students that leave the church after high school. Part of this is because some churches are unable to minister to young adults in the church, some of that is due to students going to a secular college and not getting plugged into a campus ministry. However, our goal is to get each student in the discipleship track to be so connected with Jesus (disciple- a disciplined follower of Christ), that if the situation comes up, they will start that young adult ministry or start that campus fellowship group. We want each student to flat out decide that regardless of what the enemy throws at them...they aren't trading their eternal destiny for any amount of earthly pleasure.

Speed the Light Camp Challenge

Where else can you get together with over 400 of your closest friends? Where else can you take a week to seek God with all you have? Where else can you 'play hard and pray hard?' And now, where else can you change the way a missionary meets the needs in their country? Camp has always been THE place for change! Where students from all over Ohio come together to seek God and be transformed! And this year camp will be THE place for students from all over Ohio to change the way a missionary meets the needs in their country!

The STL Giving Challenge is simple. We are asking EVERY student, support staff member, band member, even our speakers to sacrifice and bring $25 for a massive Speed the Light offering during the Tuesday morning session at both Junior High and Senior High Camps. We want students to begin saving, working, and raising that $25 and set it aside for one big offering to go directly to some of the very important needs for our Ohio missionaries. The sacrifice is great for many students, but the reward is immense: $25 X 400 students = $10,000 X 2 camps = $20,000! More money than we have EVER raised for Speed the Light at any of our summer camps! Astronomical! Historical! And we want YOU to be a part of it! Let's make history this year at camp with the STL Camp Giving Challenge!

We are announcing the return of the "Pastor's Scholarship" for Senior High Camp (June 28 - July 2) and Junior High Camp (July 12-16). We would like to bless each church with a "two-for-the-price-of-one" registration discount. This is a tool for each lead/senior pastor to bless two deserving teenagers in your church with a half off registration discount. This discount is intended for those who have not yet registered for camp and whose families cannot otherwise afford to send their child.
